So I’ve decided that I will in fact write an e-book. It’ll have a chapter on loops, and a chapter on making remakes. Not sure what kind of timetable I’m looking at it. I don’t want to take forever with it, but also can’t rush it, hopefully within the next 3 to 4 weeks. Any comments or suggestions would be welcome.

First Post, Karma, Random Thoughts

First let me thank you all for visiting my site. October makes 4 years since it first started, maybe I’ll drop the survey stuff for that day or something. I always kind of wanted a blog, so I figure why not right here? Plus it’ll give people a chance to offer their opinions or whatever to me personally. We don’t allow comments on the mixtapes and all because I think it makes it look messy plus with all the spam posts now its just better that way, but comment away on my blog. Looking through the old site designs on my computer, (yea I still have them all), some of those first ones were awful. But this was my first web project ever, I hadn’t even graduated high school yet, and now I use this site to pay my college tuition. So you know I mean it when I say I really am thankful for everyone who visits or downloads anything. I wish there was a better way than the survey thing, but it has to be done, for one because it costs $269/month just to keep this site running. That’s mainly why I’ve seen 100’s of similar sites come and go over the years.

People who make similar sites always take the low route, we get so many people trying to get us taken down to help themselves. That’s why we keep getting new Youtube channels. People make up lies about us stealing their instrumentals and things like that. For one, I’m always willing to hear someone out if they email me and if they can offer proof I’ll work something out with them. It’s a huge problem and a lot of stress constantly with things like that or just other site issues that sometimes make me just want to stop making mixtapes and everything. But I don’t, as you can tell, and hopefully I’ll keep this going for years to come. But in the 4 years of O.I./I.S., I’ve never done anything to try to get another site closed or anything like that, so I just wonder where’s the karma? I’ve stuck to myself, did it the right way, but I still get things like that done to me. I’ve had so many beats I hand made get downloaded, striped of its tags and passed along as someone else’s. But I know that’s how the internet works and I accept it, and there had been a time or two I got something like that where the original maker proved it was his and I either offered him credit or something like that for his permission to use it or took it off.

On a side note, I personally feel like the last 3 or 4 mixtapes have been some of our best so far. Volumes 22, 21, and 19 I thought really came out better than I could have hoped for. Volume 13 is probably my favorite overall, and 6 is my favorite cover, although sometimes I don’t care much about covers, because I rush most just to get the mixtape out when I feel it needs to drop. Plus if its a good mixtape its a good mixtape, a cover isn’t going to change that.

Well that’s about it right now, if you read this far I really thank you, the more people who actually read these the more posts I will make. Maybe I’ll even make my own section of the site for these soon, rather than just posts on the front page.
